Scroll down for upcoming engagement opportunities and sign up for updates! Project DescriptionThe City of Durham will resurface approximately 1.10 miles of Stadium Drive from Horton Road to Carver Street. Resurfacing helps improve and preserve current roadway pavement conditions.
During this process, the City can adjust current pavement marking designs on the road and install traffic calming features to increase safety for all road users. For example, on some roads, you can improve or add painted bike lanes and crosswalks, but this project will not allow you to address needs beyond the width of the road, such as building a new sidewalk.
This roadway resurfacing design project will develop pavement marking designs that the City will install after construction. The designs will be based on current conditions and community input.
FundingPlanning and design for the Stadium Dr. roadway resurfacing project is City-funded through the Capital Improvement Plan.
